Scouts sleep out at King Power Stadium to raise funds for The Bridge
Scouts from across Leicestershire sleep out overnight at the King Power Stadium to raise £1,950 for The Bridge Homelessness to Hope. A total of 68 Scouts and 11 leaders - representing groups from Broughton Astley, Claybrook & Ullesthorpe, Gilmorton, Huncote & Croft, Kilworth, Leire & Dunton, and Lutterworth - took part in the Scouts Sleep Out in March 2026. That's a wrap! The Big Sleep 2026
Over £7,000 was raised at this year’s The Big Sleep event to support guests of the The Bridge Homelessness to Hope charity. At the annual ‘The Big Sleep’ fundraising event, people were invited to sleep outside for one night to raise money for, and awareness of the challenges experienced by the city’s homeless and rough sleepers. This year, the event was held at the University of Leicester’s Centenary Square overnight from 8pm on Tuesday 17 March to 6am the following morning.

Anna Iliffe appointed as new Operations Manager at The Bridge
The Bridge Homelessness to Hope has appointed Anna Iliffe as its new Operations Manager. Anna starts the position after working at the charity in both volunteer and staff roles over the last two years. She will be responsible for line managing the 13 staff, managing the hub and food service at Melton Street in the city, and the charity’s four houses for accommodating guests.
