Support the Cards of Kindness Cardathon fundraiser this Christmas!

Winter is full of celebrations but the season is not merry for all families. To know that someone cares can bring a smile & so begins this Cards of Kindness Cardathon starting 8th December.

With your support, hampers are being created with supermarket vouchers, toiletries, activity packs, notebooks, and household items for families from Leicester & Nottingham Young Lives vs Cancer Social Workers.

The families, with children receiving cancer treatment, will be sponsored to stay close to hospitals at Billy's House, Nottingham (£38 per night) during treatments.

The Challenge

Over 550 Kids from Leicester including children from St John the Baptist School will be writing and sending over 1000 Cards of Kindness to people living in Nursing Homes, Learning Disability Centres, the elderly, Foodbanks, the 999 Frontline & several UK nominated organisations.

So far the kids have helped community wellbeing and raised over £7000 for charities, including:

  • Rainbows Children's Hospice

  • Young Lives vs Cancer

  • The Bridge Homeless to Hope

  • Sickle Cell Society

  • Foodbanks

  • Mind & kids' interactive wellbeing workshops.

All your donations raised will be split equally between sponsoring days at Billy's House and kids cards of kindness wellbeing projects, including:

  • Nursing home, learning disability guests, your nominations (cards)

  • 999 Services (cards)

  • Leicester & Nottingham families to stay overnight in Billy's House, Nottingham (with hampers & cards)

  • Foodbank guests (cards and surplus hampers)
