Coast to Coast Walk

Brothers take on Coast to Coast walk to raise money for The Bridge Homelessness to Hope in Leicester.

Steve Brown and his brother Mike will be taking on the Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk on 4th May in the hope of raising £1000 for The Bridge Homelessness to Hope, a charity that supports people who are experiencing homelessness in Leicester.

Starting at St Bees in Cumbria, Steve and Mike will be tackling the difficult 190 mile walk to North Yorkshire, finishing in Robin Hood's Bay 15 days later, where they will celebrate with family and friends.

Originally told by his brother Mike, when he was asked to do the walk, that it would be around 80 miles, Steve stated that he felt both apprehensive and excited, as he has never attempted anything like this before.

Both Steve and Mike are currently in training for the impressive feat, going for walks together to build up their strength and resilience for their trek next month.

"After making the decision to do the walk, my brother and I, thought our endeavour would be a good opportunity to raise some money for a charity. I chose The Bridge Homelessness to Hope because after hearing from my wife about the work the charity was doing (supporting those effected by homelessness within a community hub where they are welcomed and supported) I thought I would like to help in some way too."

You can follow their journey and sponsor their walk in aid of The Bridge via their fundraiser page on Enthuse.

Best of luck Steve and Mike!
