Ascent To Everest Base Camp
Bhavna Hughes takes on Everest Base Camp in aid of The Bridge Homelessness to Hope.

This May, Bhavna Hughes will be taking the plunge and climbing to the Everest Base Camp in Nepal to raise money for The Bridge Homelessness to Hope.
With less than three weeks to go, Bhavna's training is in full swing, doing three boot camps a week to build her strength for the strenuous climb.
"This is something I have wanted to do for years and time is passing by, so it is now or never."
After flying into the picturesque village of Lukla, Bhavna will begin the 5,600 meter ascent to Everest with her friend and several other climbers, stopping at several points to acclimatise themselves to the high altitude. The climb itself will take a total of nine days to complete.

Originally aiming to raise £2000, Bhavna has already surpassed this due to tremendous support from her family and friends, raising an incredible £2659 so far for charities local to her, including The Bridge Homelessness to Hope and Vista, and has since increased her fundraising target to £4000.
The money raised for The Bridge Homelessness to Hope will go help the charity to continue their day centre services which support people who are experiencing homelessness in Leicester.
"I realise times are hard for everyone but if you could spare a few pounds to support me to raise funds for both of the following, I would be very grateful."
