19 guests (service users) at The Bridge Homelessness to Hope have been supported with their dental health at the charity's new dental health clinics.
Since January 2020, The Bridge Homelessness to Hope have hosted several Health Clinics at the charity's 'Hope Centre' location in St Matthew's, Leicester.
Orchestrated by clinical pharmacists, GPs and other mental health professionals, and supported by an army of volunteers, the clinics provide both physical and mental health support, as well as advice to the homeless community in Leicester.
In November 2021, the first dental health clinic was held by the homeless charity, with 16 guests attending the Doncaster Road Dental Practice. Guests received dental assessments and treatment including X-Rays, extractions, fillings, scaling/hygiene and prescriptions.
The Bridge were also fortunate to have the dental mobile van in March 2022 and saw three guests for assessments, fillings and one referral to hospital.
" We would like to thank Midland Langar Seva Society for their support and are talking to them about the frequency of the mobile clinics."
