Howes Percival
"As well as raising much-needed funds for The Bridge Homelessness to Hope, we’re also aiming to help by raising awareness of homelessness with our networks of contacts and colleagues.
Having a roof over your head and keeping warm should both be basic needs in a modern society and our staff really feel that, which was why they voted accordingly for our new Charity of the Year.”
Justine Flack, Partner at Howes Percival.

Support
As part of their 2024 partnership with The Bridge Homelessness to Hope, staff from Howes Pervical will be using their 'charity day' to volunteer at The Bridge in support of those who are experiencing homelessness, including helping with food prep and service in the Community Cafe.
Howes Percival staff will also donate much-needed items to the charity. So far, staff have collected clothing items and sleeping bags to those who are experiencing homelessness and donated Easter eggs to guests at The Bridge.
"I hope I may have inspired others to take part in challenges to raise money for important causes!"
Lyndsay Jordan, Office Manager at Howes Percival.
Fundraising
Throughout the year, Howes Percival staff will also be fundraising for The Bridge with a range of activities, including:
-
Hosting a pancake day
-
Running their own sleep out in the autumn
-
Hosting a quiz night at the Rutland and Derby in September
-
Running a tuck shop
-
Grand National Sweepstake
-
Hosting a Diwali event in October
In addition to all of the money raised by staff in 2024, Howes Percival will charity-match any funds up to £3,000.
"We’re delighted that the team at Howes Percival in Leicester voted to select us as their Charity of The Year. They have so many plans for different fundraising activities that will keep them all very busy this year and will hopefully raise a significant amount of money to support our vital services for the homeless community in Leicester."
David Fawcett, CEO at The Bridge Homelessness to Hope.
Marathon Running
Lyndsay Jordan, Office Manager at Howes Percival, Leicester completed the Manchester Marathon for a second time on Sunday 14th April, this time around to raise an incredible £673.75 for The Bridge, which will be charity-matched by Howes Percival.
"Homelessness has increased over the past few years with the cost of living crisis and other factors, and homeless people are in a situation where they are getting less help from the government, so supporting charities like The Bridge is extremely important to me.
I’m so grateful for all of the support I have received from family and friends and complete strangers shouting my name! I’m proud to have been able to raise what I have for The Bridge and I hope I may have inspired others to take part in challenges to raise money for important causes!"
