The Hub is the heart of The Bridge Homelessness to Hope and the central point of activity,
where we are able to offer a wide range of services and therapeutic sessions to our guests.
Our long term strategic aim is to work with our partners to develop The Hub so that local agencies can deliver their services in an accessible, welcoming and non-judgemental environment.
The Community Café is the focal point of The Hub and the perfect space for our guests to socialise with others.
Here, our guests are able to sit in a warm, safe and relaxing environment whilst enjoying a hot drink and a nutritious meal - lovingly prepared by our fantastic team of staff and volunteers.
Our community space offers all the trappings of a regular city centre café, as well as offering a place for support workers to meet with their clients.

Arts & Crafts
Monday: 11 am - 1.30 pm
The Arts & Crafts Sessions are one of the many ways we support our guests with their mental health and wellbeing.
This recreational activity provides a space for our guests to learn new skills, build their confidence and express their thoughts and feelings through the medium of art.

Our Skill Sessions provide a quiet space and opportunity to support our guests with:
Learning English (ESOL)
Developing computer skills
Accessing and attending both online and in-person courses
Identifying new and relevant skills and interests
Assisting with telephone calls
Thursday: 11 am - 1.30 pm
Commencing in August 2021, our Photography Sessions have been designed to develop our guests self-confidence, self-expression, and creativity through the medium of digital photography.
Guests will get to enjoy an enriched sensory experience as they explore their immediate and local environments, engage with their wider community, and develop skills in:
Working the basic functions of a camera and being able to take photographs independently
Considering composition and how it can be used to tell a story
Creating a portfolio of work to exhibit at a local art gallery
Friday: 12 pm - 2 pm
Every Friday afternoon our guests and volunteers come together at our weekly Music Sessions.
Here, guests can express their thoughts and emotions through music, learn how to play instruments, enjoy playing collectively, and use the skills learnt during the sessions to build their confidence.

Cooking on a Budget
Thursday: 2 pm - 4 pm
Coming to The Bridge in Autumn 2021, is our Cooking on a Budget Sessions.
The sessions, which will be led by an experienced chef, will provide the perfect opportunity for guests to learn all about how to prepare and cook delicious and nutritious meals on a budget.
Each week, the group will create a hearty meal, packed full of flavour and goodness from scratch, and gain skills in food preparation and cooking.
Preparations are underway for our Sport & Health Project which will be a recognised and evidenced model of good practice for the benefits of physical activity in improving people's physical and mental health, social relationships and overall quality of life.
In making activities accessible, the project will debunk the myth that people experiencing homelessness aren’t interested in or can’t do sport, or that people don’t care about the state of their own health.
We believe in the health benefits of horticulture as well as spending time in the great outdoors, from walks in the country side and parks to volunteering on wildlife conservations projects.
This is why we are currently developing a range of activities off and on site at The Hub that promote a healthy wellbeing for the mind and body.
By partnering with other organisations, our guests will also be able to visit the wider natural world and pursue activities such as hiking and climbing, as well enjoy all the benefits of a living a healthier lifestyle.
