With the help of our incredible and dedicated volunteers, we are able to offer a frontline service at a minimal cost as well as provide opportunities for our volunteers to gain experience.
We are so proud of our volunteers and eternally grateful for the work they do, and the part each of them plays in supporting our services and guests.

No experience of working or volunteering in the homelessness field is necessary, all training will be provided.
WHAT
From being one of our collectors to supporting our weekly creative sessions, or working on a one-to-one basis with our mentees, there are many opportunities to volunteer with us.

Mentoring
Become a Lighthouse Project Mentor and provide face-to-face or telephone mentoring for 3-6 months to individuals facing homelessness.

Receptionist Volunteer
To make sure our guests receive a warm welcome, we are looking for several Reception volunteers who are friendly and reliable.

General Volunteer
This volunteer role is for people who are available to support us on an ad-hoc basis or have particular skills that could be useful during our sessions.

Café Volunteer
To make sure our Community Café runs as efficiently as possible, we are looking for several Café Volunteers who have an interest in food, catering or hospitality to support us during our breakfast and lunch time services.

ESOL Volunteer
Help our guests improve their English speaking and writing skills by becoming an ESOL volunteer.

Music Session Volunteer
Become a Music Session Volunteer and support our guests as they learn skills in music.

Day/s: Tuesday 12pm - 2.30pm and Friday 11am - 1.30pm
Women's Only Session
Support our Women's Open Space on the first Wednesday of the month, for women and children who have experienced homelessness.
This role is suitable for someone who wants to give back on a casual basis.
