Introducing Ernie, our mobile coffee wagon

Ernie is a converted milk float and was generously donated to the charity by local dairy, Kirby & West.

The vehicle has been lovingly refurbished into a mobile coffee bar and proceeds from all sales go towards supporting the homelessness services that we offer.

Ernie is managed by our wholly-owned Community Interest Company (CIC), launched in November 2017.

Where can Ernie be found?

Ernie can be found at Mayor’s Walk, Victoria Park in Leicester, near to the entrance to the University of Leicester from Monday to Friday, between 8am and 2pm.

We serve ethically sourced, high-quality coffees, teas, hot chocolate and other drinks, with flapjacks, brownies, tiffin and other homemade treats supplied by Homemade by Linda.

Ernie can also be found at local events, festivals and functions, such as The Riverside Festival from 2-3 June and Leicester Outdoor Centre from 8-9 June.

Want to hire Ernie for your special celebration, corporate function or festival?

Then please email Lisa at coffee@bridgeleicester.org who is Ernie’s guardian and she will see if he is available. The wagon is fully electric so can be safely and cleanly parked in accessible buildings such as venues, shopping centres and others.
